The Choice Academies program in Marietta City Schools provides parents and guardians an opportunity to choose, within a clearly defined window of eligibility, the elementary school best suited to their child’s talents and needs. Space must be available at the school and within the grade level requested before a Choice application is eligible for approval.
The application window for the 2019-2020 Marietta City Schools (MCS) elementary Choice Academies program will close January 18, 2019. Interested Marietta City residents seeking to apply for Choice Academies must submit their completed application no later than January 18, 2019.

Marietta City Schools also allows students in grades K-12, who reside outside the district, to attend our school system as tuition students. To qualify, interested parents must complete both a Non-Resident Student Enrollment Application and an MCS Enrollment Agreement and be approved. The application must include the student’s most recent school record, including:
- Academic grades and test scores
Completed non-resident enrollment applications with all required documents should be submitted to the principal at the school where your student is applying. Acceptance as a non-resident tuition student is valid for one school-year only. Applicants must complete a Non-Resident Student Enrollment Application and an MCS Enrollment Agreement each school year. The superintendent approves all applicants based on the stated criteria and available space in school programs.
Tuition for all non-residential students is $1,500 annually and this year’s deadline for applications is March 11, 2019.
