Marietta Band Scores Big During Final Competition of the Season


The Marietta High School Marching Band competed in the final competition of the season at the Old South Marching Invitational at Newnan High School this weekend, receiving all superior ratings in Drum Major, Guard, Percussion and Band.

In class AA Marietta High won 1st place in Guard and Band and 3rd place in Percussion.

The MHS band won the silver division of the competition as the best band of all 12 class A and AA  bands.

The Colorguard was once again the best at the show, scoring the highest of all 19 groups with a score of 95.10
