Victoria Thongleuth and Summit Troutman Named October Students of the Month by Marietta Board of Education
Victoria Thongleuth is a straight ‘A’ student at the Marietta Sixth Grade Academy. She is known for her hard work and dedicated efforts. She loves to read and has taken the principal’s challenge to heart, already having read 19 books so far this year. Victoria is a Harry Potter fan and her favorite book is Harry Potter and the Death Hallows.
Victoria has a very quiet demeanor and seeks to always give 100% in all that she does. Her calm and caring nature inspires her peers and teachers. If you walk into one of her classes, you can find her helping classmates so they can be successful too.

Summit Troutman is an eighth-grade student at Marietta Middle School who earned straight A’s in seventh grade and continues to earn extremely high grades in eighth grade.
Summit has a passion for music and participates in the MMS chamber music program. He performs throughout the community representing MMS at retirement homes and various school and community events, including an upcoming performance at the Cherokee Heights Arts Festival in November.
Among his many accomplishments, Summit participated in the 2018 District 12 Honor Orchestra and is currently preparing for Allstate Orchestra auditions, along with being a member of the prestigious Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra Camerata group.
Using lessons he’s learned from his parents, teachers and through being a Boy Scout, Summit motives his peer and goes above and beyond what is expected of him.
